Vampire Heart

I must admit my heart beats faster whenever I get the chance to embellish myself it anything out of the ordinary. And by that I mean that fantasy photo-shoots are my favorite ones!

SHOP MY LOOK

I feel rather proud of this one. I got to wear a very old ie across my skin, one that I have from my grandmother! You may be wondering what that is. It’s the shirt I am wearing and it’s been part of the Romanian traditional attire for hundreds of years. This garment feels truly special to me and it’s a perfect symbol of the true feminine nature, in my opinion.

Once in a while, I get this odd urge to combine feminine pieces with edgy ones. And I obey it, thus explaining the corset here. Opposites always hold a certain fascination, don’t they?

The whole aesthetic of this shoot was a mix of the romantic notion of the vampire, along with folk myths such as those of the strigoi, the troubled spirits of the dead rising from the grave.

I really hope you enjoy the pictures; they are so dear to my heart.

  1. I am in love with this look! I’m dying to do fantasy shoots like this. And I’ve always really been intrigued by Romanian mythology and history, but I don’t feel like I know enough. Maybe you could post a few of your favorites? Or themed photoshoots with snippets like in this one about the Strigoi 🙂 Or even a video. Just an idea 🙂

    1. Thank you so much for your lovely words! I really wanted to integrate that shirt into a fantasy photo-shoot and I think the vampire tales of Romania were the most fitting. So glad you like the result! 🙂
